The
Cognitive Neuroimaging Laboratory at the Monell Chemical Senses Center
conducts basic research aimed toward a better understanding of the cerebral
basis for chemosensory processing. Several different lines of ongoing
research explore how the human brain allows us to perceive, process,
and understand chemosensory information. While all of our research shares
a focus on chemo-perception and the human brain, each distinct approach
falls into one of three major sub-fields: endogenous odors, the trigeminal
system, or olfactory perception. To read more about our meta-analytical reviews using Activation Likeliehood Estimations (ALE) and to download the imaging masks, please see ALE.
